With two upcoming road series versus the Pirates followed by the Yankees, the Anaheim Angels are hoping for the possible return of at least one of their injured players. Yunel Escobar, who suffered a wrist injury on May 29th, did not need a stint on the Disabled List and is expected to start June 3rd versus the Pirates.

After concluding the series with the Yankees, the Angels return home to face the Indians and the Twins. Following the series with the Twins, they will travel up to Oakland to face the Athletics and then to Houston to face the Astros. The Angels will close out the month facing the Athletics and Astros at home.

Also in June, the Angels are expected to activate Daniel Nava, who is recovering from a left groin strain, Cory Rasmus, who is recovering from a right groin strain, Andrelton Simmons, recovering from thumb surgery, and Geovany Soto, recovering from knee surgery.

Currently, the Angels stand at a 24-29 record with .453 winning percentage. They closed out the month of May with a 13-15 record and are 7 games out of first place in the American League West.

In the following months, there is still a possibility for Cliff Pennington, Craig Gentry as well as Andrew Heaney and Garrett Richards to return.
