With a home run to put the Angels up 1-0 via a 1-2 count from the Toronto Blue Jays’ starting pitcher Francisco Liriano, José Alberto Pujols Alcántara just entered into an exclusive club who had the most seasons with at least 30 home runs.

Though it’s only a solo shot, he now joins Henry Louis “Hammerin’ Hank” Aaron, Barry Lamar Bonds, and Alexander Emmanuel “Alex” Rodriguez who have accomplished this feat of having fourteen seasons or more while hitting 30 home runs.

Though his next obstacle is Samuel Peralta Sosa with 609 home runs, he now has 590 career home runs; this year, he now has 29 home runs and 111 runs batted in.

This comes a day after he became just the 16th player to hit his 600th double that came in the first inning on Friday night. Robert Allen Dickey threw a knuckle ball that had just enough plate for “King Albert” to hit it into the left field area.

Unfortunately, the Angels would lose that one 5-0 to lose their fifth straight; Saturday’s game helped the Angels rally to end their five-game losing streak, with a 6-1 victory.
