Angels’ Andrew Heaney stem-cell injection not showing any improvement

Updated: June 27, 2016

Report: Today (6/27/16), Andrew Heaney’s re-evaluation of his late April stem-cell injection did not show improvement. He’ll be examined in two weeks.

It’s not the best of news for the Angels pitcher, as he was hoping the new injection would work. With Heaney having a setback in his improvement, let’s take a look at another Angels pitcher on the DL.

Source: Garrett Richards was also evaluated. He had stem-cell therapy in May. He is asymptomatic, GM Billy Eppler said. He’ll rest for 6 more weeks.

In 3 years with the Angels, Heaney holds a record of 6 wins and 8 losses. On the other hand, Richards holds a 40 wins and 32 loss record in 6 years in the bigs.
