The Angels Couldn’t rally Late to Avoid the Lost

The Angels woes continue after they snap a six game losing streak to lose again to the Houston Astros. Mike Trouts heroics could not prevent the Angels from losing this one.

he started the game off great, six shutout innings from the Angel ace only walked one batter! To start off the ballgame he did allow a hit but it did not matter as he struck out three batters to get all three outs. the hits kept coming for Shoemaker throughout the game bt he brushed them off like it was nothing as he put up a dominant performance. A little scare in the third when a liner caught the hand of Shoe. He would then give up a hit to Jose Altuve, yet worked out of the jam and prevented any type of scoring.

Mike Trout turned on his superstar power, golf swinging a curve ball out of Angel stadium to give the Angels a one run lead. His efforts don’t stop there. In the six inning Trout, laced one into the right field gap for a double. With the help of C.J. Cron, another run was brought in by the Angels first basemen. Things would sail smoothly until Shoemaker was brought out of the ball game. Mike Scioscia, then put the ball into the bullpen’s hand.

Matt Shoemaker, should be walking away with a win today.

Mike Morin is into relieve Matty Shoe. This is where the Astros would strike. Gomez would open up the inning with a single. Gattis comes up to the plate scorching a single up the middle, moving Gomez to third. A manufactured run would bring the Astros a run closer and the Angels getting more nervous. Deolis Guerra, would replace Morin but it wouldn’t have mattered, the Angel killer Jose Altuve would tie up the ballgame with a single. In the ninth, Astros score another two runs due to a sac fly and a wild pitch. The ANgels had the bases loaded in their bottom half but the lack luster offense choked and lost another game.

The Angels continue their homestead against the rubber match tomorrow, against the Houston Astros. Maybe they will climb over this dreadful slump.
