The Angels, lose the final game in the unlucky 13th inning. They were unable to capitalize in various key moments. Pitching did not have the upper hand in this matchup.

To start the game, Nick Tropeano, seemed in control in the first. following up, Cole Calhoun, hit a big fly to straight away right field.  Then another devastating injury plagued our Angels, Yunel Escobar, left the game today with a wrist contusion in the third inning and is day to day.

After the disaster, the Angels composed themselves and were able to push the third inning besides them. What seemed like a pitchers game, the Astros opened up in th fifth. With a runner on, Morisnick, smashed a two run home run to take the lead. An RBI single by, Altuve would add to the Astro lead. Bases loaded, yet the Angels were only able to muster one run to trim the lead.

Albert Pujols, was tired of being down by one wo he shot a single to right scoring Cron, tying the ballgame. Johnny Giavotella, did his part by sacrificing to the pitcher to eventually take the lead. Sadly, the bullpen couldn’t hold the lead as the Astros tied the game at five.

It took thirteen long inninsg only for the game to end in despair. Carlos Correa, hit a pinch hit 3 run home run to take the lead. The Angels rolled over, as they did the entire game.

A sad day indeed for our Angels, but series come and go. We must look to tomorrow as the tigers come to town. Will the Angels win a series for a change?

The injurys are adding up to a lackluster team, it’s definitely possible to still win games, but with their farm shatter still low it’ll be tough. Don’t forget this team can fight on. Watch them tomorrow against the Tigers at 6:05 pm PDT.
