4th Straight Loss: Angels Drop Series Opener Vs Athletics

Updated: June 23, 2016

Tonight was definitely a down night for the Angels. Although Lincecum did allow 4 runs on 7 hits, the issue with that was, that was in only three innings.

I mean this is something that we should have seen coming, he is going to have bad starts, this is practically spring training for him. It was his first time in a new ballpark that he has never pitched in before. One bright spot tonight was a little known player named Jeff Bandy, tonight Bandy went 1 for 3 with a 2 run home run to pull the Angels within one in the bottom of the ninth inning.

If we expect to win games, we are going to need a lot more hustle than was present tonight, there were several plays that could have meant the difference of losing by 3 or winning by 2, the lack of hustle on all sides is what lost us this game.

Tomorrow Jered Weaver takes the mound for the Angels in a 7:05 game at Angel Stadium.
