Facing the Texas Rangers, a team that they’ve had so much success were only able to muster a manufactured run against, Martin Perez and the Ranger bullpen.

Jhoulys Chacin, took the mound for the Angels hoping to reproduce is first preformance as an Angel. Chacin, breezed through 3 shut out innings, until the right fielder, Mazara, singled to center field. Elvis Andrus, to the plate, doubles down the left field line, scoring the first run of the ballgame.

The Angel offense would remain, lifelss most of the game. The Angels, had plenty of chances to score, they left a total of eight men left on base. In the sixth inning was the best possible time to score with the bases loaded, but Trout and Giavotella, struck out swinging to end the inning. On the otherside, the young right fielder would burn, Chacin, again with a two run home run to extend the lead to 3-0.

A single by, Cahloun, a double by, Trout, would put runners on second and third. Finally the Angels, would manufacture a run, thanks to a grounder to the right side by, Pujols.

The lead would extend further for the Rangers, some mediocre defensive play by the Angel defense would give up another run. The ninth was no different for our Angels, it was a one, two, three, inning for the Rangers closer. Final score, 4-1.

Good news, its only one game. Yet, we have a right to be slightly worried because Angels have been very inconsistent this entire season. It eases the pain since the Angels have had a lot of success the Rangers, so tomorrow the rubber match begins against the second place, Texas Rangers. Ace, Hector Santiago, takes the mound in the series finale. Watch the Angels, tomorrow @ 11:05 Pacific Standard time.
