Angels 2 Mariners 0

April 7th 2015 (Game 002)

No need for Mike Trout in this second game of the season, as C.J. Wilson locked down the Seattle Mariners. Last Night the spotlight was on Felix Hernandez,  today it was on C.J. Wilson and his confidence on the mound. C.J. was on the bubble on wether or not he would have another off season, as his starting record last year was 13 Wins and 10 Loses. However he showed his fans and critics that last season may have been a hoax. C.J. Wilson pitched 8 shutout innings, 2 Strikeouts and 2 Hits allowed.

Albert Pujols and David Freese helped out Wilson in the top of the 6th with a couple of key at bats. Pujols started the rally with a huge double to shake up the Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton. Freese took a high outside fastball to deep right field to give the Angels a home run and 2-0 Lead. Paxton finished with 6 Innings pitch, 4 allowed hits and 2 earned runs against him.

The Seattle Mariners looked like the Angels last night, as they only tailed two hits total. Very quick game as C.J. Wilson controlled the tempo. Houston Street came in the 9th inning to close it out.  Angels head into the last game of the series with the momentum. Light That Baby Up.

Winning Pitcher: C.J. Wilson (1-0)
