After Sweeping the 1st place Mariners, and winning the Battle of Los Angeles, The Angels looked poised to continue their winning ways against another hot baseball team. Friday night was not the case, as two pitches in the game, Santiago already was in trouble.

It was not the best of start for Santiago as he gave up back to back home runs in the 1st Inning. Hector Santiago left two fastballs right over the middle of the plate and he paid for them. Both Home-runs went to center field and were crushed. Santiago almost gave up another home run in the 2nd inning, but Mike Trout would reach over the wall and rob it.

It would get worse for Santiago as after 3 straight balls to Orioles Catcher Wieters, Santiago got off the mound and said “It was right over the ****ing plate,” The home plate umpire Tumpane stood up and tossed Santiago for his actions. Santiago only lasted 3 Innings with giving up 3 Home-runs, his worst start probably as an Angel.

With the score already a commanding 4-1 lead to the Orioles after the 3rd Inning, the Angels looked to be falling apart and out of the game. However pitcher Mike Morin came in and did an outstanding job replacing Santiago. Morin went 2 Innings along with zero earned runs and 2 strikeouts. With the Angels having some type of momentum, they exploded in the 6th Inning to tie the game. Johnny Giavotella continued his hitting streak as he drove in Mike Trout. Carlos Perez and Gregorio Petit would both add an RBI to their resume, as the game was finally tied.

With the game finally tied, the Angels sadly could not keep up with the Orioles outstanding offense. Chris Davis would homer of off Jose Alvarez as the game was getting out of reach. The Angels bullpen would allow five more runs in the last three innings as the game would end with the final score of 9-4. Not a good day for the Halos and Santiago
