Is Jered Weaver’s Career Coming To An End? Angels Place Jered Weaver On DL

Updated: June 21, 2015

Breaking News: The Los Angeles Angels have placed starting Pitcher Jered Weaver on the Disabled List due to a Left Hip Inflammation.

Jered Weaver has probably entered his worse pitching year yet, as he has pitched in 15 games, with a record of 4-8. Weaver has an ERA of 4.75, and has not stopped it from reaching higher each game. In the month of June, Jered Weaver has pitched 26 Innings, and allowed 31 hits. Weaver has also allowed a month high of 31 earned runs, with his June ERA at an extremely high 6.58. Weaver started the new baseball season with a horrible record of 0-4, but bounced back with four straight wins to have a balance record of 4-4. Weaver, however would fall into a pitching slump that has yet to be stopped yet. Weaver’s fastball has yet to hit anywhere near the high 80’s and has left his curveballs hanging to be crushed. Is Jered Weaver reaching an end with the Angels? Can he bounce back after the all-star break?

Alferdo Marte has been recalled from the Angels, as Jered Weaver has been placed on the 15-day DL.
