The Angels win the second game of the series. After yesterday’s blowout and being booed the Angels were able to blast their way to victory.

Chacin took the mound to start against the Minnesota Twins only surrendering a hit in the first but no damage done. Yunel, up to the plate sends one up the middle for a knock. He’d eventually score thanks to Albert Pujols, single up the middle. With the early lead seemed to ease the pain from last night. But it got scary when the twins tied it up in the second inning.

With a man on base, the king of the clutch, Johnny G sends a homer to left field. It was a wall scraper but a homer is a homer. The Angels had a two run lead over the Twins. The Twins were relentless in the third, scoring another run to trim the Angel lead. El Rojo, Cole Calhoun sends deep fly ball to right giving the Angels a two run cushion in the third.

Both teams weren’t done yet, a triple would lead the twins to another run cutting the lead to one run again. Gregorio Petit, double to start of the fifth inning. Escobar able to move him to third. El Rojo strikes again with a RBI double to make it a 5-3 ball game. The sixth inning dawned on the twins and they were able to score again slimming the lead to one run yet again.

After two scoreless innings, Huston Street came into the game to put the cherry on top to win a one run ball game for the Halos. A briskly played ball game turned into a great win. With a win under the Halo’s belt could boost some confidence for the following games, but with this team nothing surprises us. With their dignity restored, the Angels looking to take the rubber match in tomorrow’s game against the Twins.
