Updated: April 2, 2017

This will be the third season Halo Headquarters will be covering the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim as we have some returning faces and new ones. Please welcome the new Halo HQ team that will bring in-depth analysis of the Halos every single day.

Alex Alarcon: Founder and Senior Writer

I was born and raised in Claremont, California. I am 21 years old and currently attend Azusa Pacific University with a minor in Journalism. My love for writing and watching baseball came together in the creation of Halo Headquarters. I have been an Angels fan my entire life and enjoy heading to the Big A often. My Favorite memories of watching the Angels, would be when the Angels swept the Boston Red Sox in the ALDS (2009) or Jered’s Weaver No-Hitter (2012) My All Time Favorite Angels would include Torii Hunter, Garret Anderson, Troy Glaus, and Jered Weaver. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are one of the greatest teams to watch and write about, Go Angels, and follow us here everyday at Halo Headquarters

James Francuz: Editor

My life originally blossomed in Orange County and I
have resided in this neck of the woods my entire life. I
am currently 23 years of age and am a recent graduate of Hope International University’s English program, earning Cum Laude in the process. In being connected with such a program, I gradually began to truly appreciate the various idiosyncrasies of the English language and the immeasurable power of the written word. This developing interest in writing over the years only explains the beginning of the story, though.

Since a tender, delicate age there has consistently been an unexplainable fire that brews within me when it comes to the world of sports. It is a smouldering passion that does not contain too many glaring limitations. The aforementioned fire only gets hotter when it comes to the Halos. I have been a follower of the ball club for just about as long as I can remember. Fair shares of mountains and trenches have been dealt with along the way, but my love for the team will never be extinguished. Some of my all-time favorite Angels are David Eckstein, Tim Salmon, Vladimir Guerrero, Jered Weaver, and Mike Trout.

Jacob Hunter: Editor

Born and raised in Southern California, I have been a fan of the Angels my whole life. I’m 29 years old, living in the San Bernardino Mountains with my wife, son, and baby girl due in August, just in time for the playoffs! My favorite sports memories are when the Angels finally swept the Red Sox in 2009, when Garrett Anderson and Mike Trout won their All-Star MVP’s, and of course, 2002. “Erstad says he’s got it, Erstad makes the catch!” Who can forget? My favorite Halos of all time are Glaus, Salmon, Vladdy, and Trout. I’m looking forward to the Angels’ next championship, which is hopefully in my lifetime, wish the Angels would go back to being the California Angels, and I’m convinced there’s no better sport to watch live than baseball (except maybe hockey.) I love writing about the Angels! Go Halos!

Jake Wilson: Staff Writer

Hey everybody! My name is Jake Wilson, and I am 20 years old out of Aliso Viejo, California. I am a sophomore student at Gonzaga University, majoring in Sports Management and minoring in General Business and Integrated Media. Ever since I was a little kid, I have been a die-hard Angels fan. Nothing excites me more than going to Angels games and seeing a sea of red in the crowd. My favorite Angels player of all time is Vladimir Guerrero, and my favorite Angels memory is being at Jered Weaver’s no-hitter in 2012 and going crazy when Torii Hunter made the final catch. I love the game of baseball, and I follow it every day from the first pitch until the last out. Writing about baseball is a passion of mine, so I am excited to write for Halo Headquarters again throughout the 2017 season. Go Halos!

Adrian Arvizu: Staff Writer

Hello, I’m a longtime Angel fan. My favorite player ever is the great Vladimir Guerrero.  Played ball as long as I could and I found a passion for writing. My first love was baseball and even though I’ve stopped playing I couldn’t stay away. I am a passionate writer and even more fanatic of baseball. I’m determined that I will do a fantastic job writing about this amazing team. I can’t wait until the Angel’s season starts this year and I look forward to watching and writing about baseball. Go AngelsI’m extremely optimistic about this season and every single season. I look forward to giving objective analysis of the Angels.

Sarah Miles: Staff Writer

Hi, my name is Sarah Miles. I’m from Irvine, California and currently attend the University of West Alabama studying Integrated Marketing Communications. In simple terms, I’m studying journalism in all aspects: print, social media, public relations, graphic design, and broadcast. I’m hoping to pursue a career in sports writing. Even though I go to school in Alabama, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have been my favorite team since I was a kid going to games at the Big A. Even from 3,000 miles away, I still enjoy keeping up with the Angels and writing for Halo Headquarters. One of my favorite memories is taking the field pregame with Scott Spiezio when I was younger. My favorite Angels are Mike Trout, Darin Erstad, Troy Glaus, and Tim Salmon. I always look forward to going to Angel games every summer. Go Angels!

Nick Aguilera: Staff Writer

I am an 18-year-old high school senior who loves writing about baseball. I will be attending Arizona State University in the fall, where I will major in Sports Journalism at the Cronkite School of Journalism. I enjoy a pitcher’s duel, a slugfest and everything in between. I am a baseball fanatic who likes sabermetrics more than the next guy. I am a regular at the Big A and love taking pictures in Arizona during spring training. I firmly believe Jefry Marte is the future of the franchise.

Thank you for following Halo Headquarters and Light That Baby Up!
