Angels 2 Royals 9

April 12th 2015 (Game 006)

ANAHEIM – The Kansas City Royals beat the Los Angeles Angels 9-2 on Sunday and are 6-0 for the second time in franchise history. The Royals swept the Angels after sweeping them in the ALDS last season.

Salvador Perez hit his third home run of the season, becoming the first Royals player with three homers in the team first six games. All great news for the Royals, however the Angels are on a losing streak. C.J Wilson was on the mound for the Angels, and all hopes were high as Wilson’s last outing was a dominate one as he went eight innings against the Mariners. The loss to the Royals on Sunday at Angels Stadium was a quick one for Wilson as he lasted just 5 2/3 innings. The Royals were all over the Angels, and the only excitement the Angel Fans saw was a benches clearing brawl. Mike Trout had to protect himself in the 6th after a heated exchange with Royals standout pitcher Yordano Ventura behind home plate.

The 6-0 Royals swept the three game series and have defeated the Angels six consecutive times dating back to last October. Angels are hoping to regain chemistry against the Rangers Monday Night.
