Stroke Of Genius

As professional golfers are battling it out at the British Open in St. Andrews, Scotland, last night, Mike Trout drove a Koji Uehara pitch over the left-center field wall for a 1-0 walk-off home run against the Red Sox.  It was a perfect swing.  A swing that Tiger Woods would trade for.  Trout, was 0-5 in his career vs Uehara prior to that at-bat.

Another feather in his cap for Trout who is compiling another MVP type season.  In case you forgot, Trout was AL MVP last year, too.

This was the first game for the Angels following the All-Star break.  For Trout, there was no break, he flew into Cincinnati and captured All-Star game MVP honors.  In case you forgot, Trout was All-Star MVP last year, too.

Now the AL leader in home runs with 27, Trout, also leads the AL in runs, slugging percentage and total bases.  Not bad for this 23-year-old phenom.
