Angels centerfield All-Star, MVP and fan favorite Mike Trout reminded everyone everyday why he is on another level. His insane catches and dives in the outfield makes him one of the most watched outfielders in the game today.
He showed everybody why he’s one of the best with this amazing catch on Sunday. Did you want that grand slam? oh too bad…robbed Leonys Martin of a grand slam with this effort
With Trout reminding everybody why he is the true Angel in the outfield, we took a look at his past catches and ranked them. Remember: Trout is only now 25 years old, so we can look forward to enjoying even more of these for at least a decade to come.
5. Sept. 26, 2014: Sorry Kendrys Morales, Trout is a sprinter
Another Ex-Angel, Morales thought he had an easy stand up double, but even with the crushed fastball, Trout was all over this baseball. Another crushed dream to a fellow Ex-Halo.
4. April 30, 2015: Mike Trout with the celebration
Without this catch, it would have been another blown save for Huston Street. That is what makes this just a little more special. With the bases loaded, line drive hit, Trout jumps up, tracks the ball and celebrates the #LTBU. Trout once again shows why he carries the team.
3. Aug. 16, 2015: Royals Walk It Off? Not So Fast…
Once again Mike Trout put the team on his back. This hit would have been a walk off for at least more than 75% of the teams, but Trout will catch anything. It’s always the best to see the fans stand up and start to cheer for the win, as they go dead silent. What a catch.
2. Sept. 26, 2015: He climbed the WALL!
I was at this game, and oh boy did the stadium go insane. Jesus Montero was pretty sure he had cracked a homer to left-center. The fact that Trout climbed the wall and still had to lean over to catch it. It’s an impossible catch, but a normal one for the MVP.
1. June 27, 2012: The Catch That Started It All
This catch came in Trout’s first full season with the Angels, and well he gave a strong idea what was about to come to Anaheim. Boy was he right.
